If you're selling anything, you need a CRM. But most CRMs are built for large sales teams, not founders doing everything themselves. Pipedrive takes the opposite approach: a visual, drag-and-drop pipeline where every deal has a next action, so nothing gets forgotten. It connects with 400+ tools, and the AI features are practical, handling things like email drafting and deal prioritisation. Plans start at $14/month per seat. Worth a look if spreadsheets are still your CRM. Tiny Empires readers get an extended trial and 20% off their first year.
Claude Design is here, and it's aimed straight at non-designers
Anthropic launched Claude Design last week, and if you've ever opened Figma, stared at a blank artboard, and closed the tab, this one is for you.
It's a new tool inside Claude that lets you describe what you want and get back a working visual. Prototypes, landing pages, slide decks, one-pagers, pitch decks, mockups. You can refine through conversation, drop inline comments, edit text directly, or drag custom sliders Claude builds for you. When it's ready, you export to PDF, PowerPoint, HTML, or hand it off to Canva or Claude Code to turn it into a real app.
It's available now for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans at claude.ai/design. Rolling out gradually, so you may not see it yet.
Why this is interesting for founders without a design background
Most AI design tools so far have been either code-first (Lovable, Bolt) or pure UI mockup tools (Google Stitch). Claude Design sits in a useful middle spot. You're not shipping a full app from here, and you're not stuck with static frames either. You get interactive prototypes you can share, test, and then hand to a builder.
The feature that matters most for small teams is the design system. During setup you can point Claude at your codebase, upload your brand kit, drop in a GitHub repo, or feed it a Figma file. From then on, every output pulls your colours, typography, and components automatically. You build it once and every deck, landing page, and mockup stays on brand.
For a solo founder, that removes the part of design that usually eats the most time, which is keeping things consistent across ten different deliverables.
What you can actually do with it today
A few realistic use cases:
Build a pitch deck in your brand style in under 10 minutes, export to PPTX, send to investors.
Sketch out a feature flow as a product manager without waiting on a designer, then hand the bundle to Claude Code to build.
Create landing page variations to test messaging before you commit to a real build.
Turn a PDF or Word doc into a slide deck that matches your design system.
Build an onboarding flow as a clickable prototype, share the link with five users, get feedback before you write a line of code.
How to get started properly
If you want to get real value out of this, don't just start prompting. Set up a design system first. Give it your website URL, your logo, your fonts, or a GitHub repo if you have one. The outputs get noticeably better when it has your brand to work from.
Then pick the right mode. Wireframe for structure, high-fidelity for polished mockups. Don't use high-fidelity when you're still figuring out the layout, you'll waste time tweaking visuals on something you're about to throw out.
When you're refining, use the edit and comment tools on the canvas rather than retyping everything in chat. Click the element, change the color or text, done. Much faster than describing what you want in a prompt.
The honest take
It's slower than Google Stitch or Cursor on generation time. Early users are reporting the design system upload doesn't always carry through cleanly on the first pass. And if you're looking for a full app builder with databases and payments, this isn't that. Use Lovable or Base44 for that.
But if you've been paying for Lovable or Bolt just to build static landing pages and pitch assets, Claude Design probably covers that job already inside your existing Claude subscription. Worth trying before you renew the other tool.
Try it at claude.ai/design. If you build something good with it, reply and send it over, we'll feature a few in next week's issue.
